Hi Guys,
I have some SRG 50 Rls3 connected to CS1K Rls 5.5 via NRS.
All sites having 1120i & 1140i IP phones.
There are no more than 10 IP phones in each site but they are complaining voice quality is very bad.
Patches are in up to date in SRG.
Is there a any configuration in SRG for the voice quality when its in Normal mode?
Any solution for this I'll be much apppreciate...

- is the latest (C6O) firmware loaded on the CS 1K and pushed to the SRG via umsUgradeAll command so that it is loaded on the 1120E/1140E?
- what codec is used?
- have you configured QoS alarms on the CS 1K and, if so, are you getting any alarms?

I didnnt try umsUgradeAll. I'll try this
codec is G729
I have already configured QoS alarm & getting alarms.

check payload settings for mismatch on codec...are the trunks in srg or in the cseK...are you using diff serv

Isn't G729 wireless voice quality?

We had similar problem with one of our SRGs. It turned out to be the voice traffic went to data VLAN instead of voice VLAN.

There are Figures in the "Converging the Data Network with VoIP Fundamentals" NTP which show QoS levels with different codecs based upon combinations of One Way Delay and Packet Loss. Even under ideal conditions (one way delay < 150 ms and packet loss < 2%), G729 will give you a "Fair" QoS level at best.
