HI everybody, I have 30 nos SRG 50 R3 connected to CS1K Rls 5.5 via NRS.All IP phones are in Normal mode. Each SRG having less than 20 IP phones.
Every day I can see some of phones went back to local mode in some branches.(Unknown Main Office Status(Rederect Remote)Type BU)
I cannt rederect the set but when I modify the TN like 112 0 3 1 into 112 0 3 01 & Refresh, then it will be ok.
All branches having same patches, same phone models & same switches.
If anyone can help me I'll be much appreciate.
Thanks.

We have similar problem when there is power outage at SRG.

We have CS1000E Rls 5.0, SRG50, with IP 2002 and 2004.

If we reboot "local mode" phone sets for many times, some of them will come back but others will not.

We can replace these "local mode" sets with sets from other branches, and they come back. The replaced sets can't be use at the same SRG, but can be used at other switches.

Another way is to use unused static IPs for "local mode" sets. They will come back with new IPs.

It looks to me that some IPs and/or MACs are stuck in main office, such that the main office will not accept the "same" IPs or MACs again.

Nortel is investigating this issue.

We are using 1140i & 1120i phones. If I reboot the phone it will be ok. Otherwise I have to modifiy the TN & refresh, then OK.
