I need help with the syntax for the calculated field " Group Min". It should have the lowest value for all IDs within a type. So in this case the lowest score for any records for Type CAR is one.

Type ID SCORE Group Min
CAR AAA 1 1
CAR ABC 2 1
CAR BCA 3 1
BOAT AAC 2 2
BOAT CCA 3 2
PLANE CAC 3 1
PLANE CCA 1 1

I have tried to play around with Dmin() but with no luck so far. I hope you can help.

Code:
DMin("SCORE","[your table]","Type='" & [Type] & "'")

Hope This Helps, PH.

Thank you, it was the 's and "s that caused me trouble!
