Sql String problem

I am trying to write an Sql string and one of the fields stands a good chance of being over 255 characters. Does anyone know anyway to get round this problem.

Do you need the full size of the field? If not, parse out the field. If so, assign the field to a Variable and use the Variable name inside the SQL.
