Im using a Visual Foxpro 6 application that connect via ODBC to a SQL 2000 server.
Application is running fine for a couple of hours , then one contained table (among 40 others) is not accessible anymore .
Nor via VFP , nor via Entreprise Manager.
I have to stop and start the service on server level , wich also stops other working databases.

Does anyone know ?

Thanks

perhaps there is procedure thant constantly updates that table or some other process that does something with the table and never ands... check for infinite loops

Have you checked for locking on the table? In Enterprise Manager, Open Management | Curent Activity | Locks / Object in the console tree. Look for locks on the table.

From Query Analyzer you can execute sp_lock to show locks on objects. Execute sp_who2 to show blocked and blocking connections. Terry L. Broadbent
