Hi, Please help I'm going mad!

I currently have SQL Server 2005 version 9.0.1399 installed on a server and I want to install service pack 1 to upgrade the version to 9.0.2047.

However when going through the installation wizard it will not let me select the option for MSSQLSERVER and on the details section for its related sub-components i get this message

"This update requires language ENU. The language for product instance MSSQLSERVER is . Download the update for language ."

I've checked the @@language variable and made sure my login is set to us-english as well. I have also checked the windows 2003 server locale settings.

Has anyone any idea how I upgrade my SQL 2005 installation?

Skip the SP1 install. Go to Microsoft's website and download the now available SP2 for SQL Server 2005 and install that. See if you have the same problem.
