SQL Server/Small Business Server

Hi

This is probably embarassingly simple....

I've got Small Business Server up and running on the server at work, and I need to start using SQL Server 2000.

How do I go about this - I can't find anything on the server which looks like it might start SQL Server. Do I need to install more components for Small Business Server

Make sure SQL Server is listed as a service. You can check it from Windows Start->Settings->control Panel->Services. If it is listed make sure to run it right there.
From the windows Start->programs->Microsoft Sql server-> run the SQl Service Manager, which will show up as an icon on the lower right part of the Windows screen.
Then,run query anlayzer from Windows Start->Programs->Microsoft Sql Server->Query Analyzer and connect to the database which should be listed on the login winodws as Local or the server name or IP address.
Also you can run the SQL EM from Windows Start->Programs->Microsoft Sql Server-> Enterprise Manager. Register the SQL server and start browsing the server databases ....

Look on the second CD and you'll find a folder named SQL2000, you have to load it manually.

Great - managed to get this far with the second CD, but still problems - I can't install it on the Server as I don't always have access to it

I've tried installing it on my own PC but it only runs the client services and most of the functions don't work.

Is it possible to install/run it on a standalone computer or does it need to be set up across a server/network?

Again, probably an obvious question but I'm learning SQL Server totally from scratch so getting a bit confused
