I'm a quasi-newbie databases and a COMPLETE newbie to SQL/SQL Server database stuff and a COMPLETE newbie to something called the "SQL Server Enterprise Manager". I have 2 questions: 1) How do I add/insert a new column to an existing database table using "SQL Server Enterprise Manager"? and 2) Is this the right place for me to post this? Thanks to anyone who can help!!

Hi,

First there are two ways to add a column. First of all without SQL Knowledge klick on the Databases-Tab, Select the DB you want to change, select Tables and select the table you need to change. Here you can klick right mouse and select "design table". On the left side you'll find the columns and you can insert one.
Second is to the Database, select Tools and SQL-Query-Analyser. Here you can insert with a SQL Statement inside any known table.

You second question ..... not realy, For SQL-Server Probs you should post in Microsoft SQL-Server:Setup and Admin.
