Hi

My SQL Server 7.0 is not starting.
All of a sudden it stopped working.
I don't know the reason. I tried to start it
manually , but its not starting.
Any help could be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Look in the event log for windows. Check the application event log for anyything relating to SQL Server.

Thanks

Are you getting any errors in the SQL Log?

Check if your SQL Agent is still running on the server

You say you tried to start it manually, how did you do that? Via the popup tool or via Start>Control Panel>Services?

Have you changed any passwords lately? Could the login/password for the SQLSERVERAGENT service have been changed?
