We have about 10 SQL Servers and one of them went bad and we had to replace it. The clients that are trying to connect to the new server wont connect unless they put lmhosts file. How come the clients are connecting to all other 9 servers without lmhosts? All the computers are part of the domain, and they all are windows 2000 servers. What do I have to do on the domain controller so the clients can talk to the new server?

I have had similar problems and I fixed it by deleting the computer account from the domain, then rejoining the computer to the domain to let it make its own account. Give that a try.
