SQL Server Agent Install 2005

Quck Question.....

Is it possible to re-install just the SQL Server Agent 2005. I did a re-install SQL 2005, but the agent did not show up. If I go to the Agent and right click on SQL Server Agent in Management Studio, it is showing the Start, Stop options grayed out. I even was going to try starting it through the command prompt with NET START, but the option is not even there.

I believe that just because the Start, Stop options are greyed out that doesn't necessarily mean the Agent wasn't installed correctly. I'm looking at one of my 2005 installations and the agent is running fine even though the Start, Stop options are greyed out.

Have you checked the Configuration Manager to see if it's there?

What problem are you having with the Agent?

It isn't SQL Express is it? Agent isnt there in that edition.
Does the user that you are logged on as have permissions to the agent?
