SQL Server 3.70 ODBC Driver

Does anyone know how to rollback to a SQL Server 3.70 ODBC Driver on a Windows XP Pro workstation?

I've tried installing MDAC 2.5 SP2, but I get a message stating the 2.5 version is already installed.

But I know MDAC 2.5 never came with a SQL Server 2000.xxx.xx ODBC driver. Regardless, it appears by the message above, that I can't use this method to revert to the older SQL Driver.

Since nobody else knew how, I'll share with you.

The driver is located in C:\winnt\system32 or C:\windows\system32. It's named SQLSRV32.dll. I removed the XP driver and copied one from a Windows 2000 box.

It was that easy. Unfortunately, the experienced error, was not corrected by using an older driver.

So, a complete OS change is necessary it looks like.
