The database files are the same whether you use SQL server 64 bit or SQL Server 32 bit.

Cannot open backup device 'F:\SQLBACKUP\NBABackup\NBA_backup_2010_02_01_013001_9161301.bak'. [!]Operating system error 21(The device is not ready.)[/!]

There are several causes for this error. The most common causes are physical device failure. You may not have an F drive, the F drive may have bad sectors, or your bak file may be corrupt. I suggest you check these problems first.

Make sure that you are referencing a drive on the server, not your computer.

Thanks a lot for both answers.

But issue was completely different. I still am not sure why error was pointing like backup cannot open device 'F:\SQLBACKUP\NBABackup\NBA_backup_2010_02_01_013001_9161301.bak' but after little more investigation I figure out that on my developer system I do not have enough hard disk space for backup to restore since log file was huge. After I shrink log file, restore worked just fine.
