was wondering if someone had a program available and willing to share as an example that shows interaction between cobol program and sql server 2000, will be trying to open one db, extract data, normalize data, then place into data warehouse, then report from data in warehouse on demand, each db resident on separate machine, cobol installed on separate machine as well. years ago, used library call routines (intrinsics) to access db, are these still an available method by which to access db's? or does one access db through use of sql statements? or both?

would appreciate taking a look at someones small program, would provide valuable insight before undertaking work?

appreciate the feedback, thanks

What COBOL compiler do you have? What operating system are you using?

THX.

thanks, windows 2000, advanced server, server, and professional environments with appropriate service packs applied, and version 4.0 microfocus net express for cobol, and sql server 2000, with appropriate service packs applied, hope that helps, thanks for your response.
