SQL query implementation

I am running crystal in vb .net 2003 on a sql sever. I have this report, but as more and more entries are being added to the database the report is going slower and slower, and sometime now i don’t know if it stopped or not. I heard if you implement SQL queries into your report for a lot of the functions it would speed up. I know how to make them but no clue how to implement them into my report...

Any help is much appreciated
 
The biggest time saving advantage is to limit what is being returned. If you need everything brought back to the report for viewing, there isn't much to be done about it.

At any rate, you need to state what you have and what you need, not post generic hearsay.

Post example dat and what you need as output from it.

In general try looking at adding a record selection.
