I am new at SQL and I am lost now I tryed researching this but came up with nothing Can someone please help me

Everytime I try to click on th esql server to log on from my workstation I get the following error message:
A connection could not be established to FCM01S1- you must upgrade your SQL Enterprise Manager and SQL-DMO (SQLOLE) to SQL Server 2000 (SQLDMO) to connect to this server.
Please verify SQL Server is running and check you SQL Server registration properties and try again

The server is a win 2000
enterprise manager on my workstation is 7.0

Thanks
Mingetty

Which version of SQL Server is running on the server?

John

You probably need the 2000 version of Enterprise manager then. Things generally aren't forward compatible, you could read a 7.0 database with 200 enterprise manager but the reverse.
