Hi All

My Company have just introduced a SQL 2000 server. I have just been told that I can no longer use access to create databases. I have never used SQL 2000 before. The first thing I asked for was proper training courses but unfortuantly they dont have the resources to put me on courses at the moment. So as it looks like I will have to learn SQL on my own, can anyone recomend any good books on learning SQL? Also as SQL is a backend database system, what do you use for your frontends?

Our front ends are all web pages. YOu can use .net or Java or ASP or what ever for them. Windows based front ends could be done in visual basic or c++ or .net or basically any prgram language. Sometimes people use SQL server for the backend and access for the front end creating linked tables.
