hello, I am looking to upgrade from express to workgroup.

this may be out of the scope of this forum, but does anyone work with sql server workgroup? I was wondering if the managability features "Profiler" and "Database tuner advisor" come with it. I have found documentation from microsoft that it does and does not.

this page says it does not:

this page says it does: (2/3 of the way down)

SQL Server 2005 Workgroup includes the full SQL Server Management Studio in addition to the other SQL Server database management tools including SQL Agent, SQL Profiler, and the Import/Export Wizard.

I don't work with it but if I remember correctly, Workgroup is the same as Express but with SQL Agent and Log Shipping capabilities. It also makes use of more CPU's and memory and does not have a databse size limit.

I got confirmation that workgroup does not come with profiler, howerver you can run profiler against workgroup if you already have it as a part of standard or enterprise.
