SQL Error

I have everything configured ready for a drupal install,

but I get this error???


Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/content/i/n/s/insidesam/html/drupal/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 31

I dont understand, I would really appreciate some help from someone,

check your access rights to ensure that user as rights to the database

I disagree. I think you will get this error when MySQL is not running.

well thanks people,

you were both right,

the connection string was set to localhost, which wasnt accepted,

and the hosts hadnt started the service!

all fixed now, thanks

Just to add to this, I experienced this error when my web host's MySQL server was down.
