SQL Error connecting user table

I receive the message:

Incorrect Syntax near the keyword 'user'.

when I try to add a SQL table to my report. The table name is User.

How are you adding the table to the report, meaning what type of connectivity?

If it's a ODBC connection, make sure that you use the CR supplied ODBC, I generally suggest OLE DB these days as ODBC is no longer supported by MS.

Try to avoid using keywords in table or column naming, I've heard of oddities where a Table or Column name breaks a type of connectivity.

In either case, try changing the type of connectivity, and if that fails, create a View from the table (which is generally a great idea anyway) and name it something else.
