I am running a SQL app (ecm) and a4w on pervasive. I am running W2000 TS with 4GB RAM. SQL grabs all mem and forces server to look for more VM. Mem therefore running at 80-90% constantly. IS this normal or how can I control the memory better for SQL.

Put SQL on a diet, go to Enterprise Manager, right-click the SQL server and select Properties and go to the Memory tab.
SQL server is pretty memory hungry, what else are you running on the server?
Ideally the server should be dedicated to SQL server.

There's a little confusion here. Are you running MS-SQL or Pervasive.SQL? If the former, then the memory usage is automatic, and you don't have to worry about it. If the latter, then go to the Pervasive Control Center, and reduce the maximum cache size.

Thanks Guys, I am running eCRM on SQL and ACCPAC ver 5.0a on Pervasive, using TS on Win 2000. On my server SQL using 1.5GB RAM and Pervasive 0.5GB. IS there a memory release using these products on W2000.

No, there's no "memory release". Just reduce the Pervasive Cache if you want more free RAM. Leave MS-SQL alone, it's dynamic.
