Hello,
I have a DTS that copies the colums from one table to another. What I would like to do is simply multiply the value in one colum in the source table by 100 and place that value in the destination using active X while not changing the source data.

My problem is that I do not have a clue about active x.
Anyony have a sample scrit I could use to accomplish this or any suggestions in case I am being too dense.

Regards,
CHip

You don't need to activeX, you can do that in DTS wizard.

when you select target table, click a button with label "..." to customize the transformation, choose change the transformation, then there should be a list of target column equal to source column, then type *100 on the right side, continue, all done.

Thank you Mjia.
That is exactly what I needed.
I called it Active X because when I am in the DTS wizard I have the option of choosing Copy Column, active-x, etc. Copy Column did not do it but choosing Active-x allowed me to type exactly what you suggested.

Thank you again :)
