Hi all,

I inserted a .qry file to generate a crystal report. I would like to ask do crystal report refer the query file to a relative path or an absolute path?

When I try to copy this file to another computer to test and run, it will prompt error of cant find the dictionary and ask me to either proceed without a dictionary or choose a new query file?

Anyone can help me to solve it?

Thanks

The path to the QRY is absolute.

Are you running the report from Crystal Reports, or an application? Ken Hamady, On-site/Phone Crystal Reports Training/Consulting

I am running the report from a vb program.
Is there any differences to run the report in this way?

Thanks

CD doesn't recommend using a QRY for application developement. Why not create a recordset in the app, and pass it to the report. You might have to recreate the report, but you have much more control. Ken Hamady, On-site/Phone Crystal Reports Training/Consulting
