Hi all, been looking for a solution but finding absolutely no reference to this scenario.
I'm building a Japanese/English website, that is driven by a SQL database using ASP. By setting the Codepage 932 and language metatag (iso-2022-jp) for Japanese, it works perfect on a PC. You can see the japanese or english text when it is driven from the database or just part of the static asp page. This also works on general Macs. However, on the iMac it just don't work. By changing the meta-tag to Shift_Jis, the japanese text will display from the database or the static website, but if a page happens to have text that is both from the database and on the page, it fails to show the japanese characters. Worse, this meta-tag doesn't work on the other mac. Anythoughts on what we're doing wrong (i.e. is there some entire other facet that we need to be addressing when having a double-language site?). Any help would be great as hitting walls is starting to hurt.
