SQL Agent not prompting for security

I have two NT 4.0 servers (SVR1 and SVR2) with SVR1 running AS6.61 (no service packs) and SQL Agent is on both servers. Last week I installed SP2 for MS-SQL 7.0 and since then, I am not prompted for SQL security in ArcServe when submitting a backup job for SVR1. By security, I mean when you submit the backup job and it asks you to verify all the logons and passwords for the drives/servers that are being backed up. I still have the option of changing it for SQL Server on SVR2, just not on SVR1, thus my job errors out on SVR1 when it tries to connect to SQL server (different ID/password than the NT login).

So far it's not causing me a MAJOR problem because I have another job that ONLY grabs the SQL servers on SVR1 and SVR2. It's been running since BEFORE the SP2 for SQL was installed.

Has anyone experienced anything similiar? Monkeylizard

Can you still set the security even if it doesn't ask for it? How about if you right click on the database(s) when you are setting up the job and choose security?

Can't see it at all...

I gave up trying and re-created the job. Instead of selecting the drives and SQL server as part of the local machine, I just selected them through the 'network neighborhood' type browse list. Seems to be working fine. Monkeylizard
