I am new to SQL 7 and just recently ordered my first web host with a SQL 7 server for my cold fusion apps.

Seems I am having problems connecting because of an error when I click "FINISH" to connect to the server.

I have done everything it says to do on:

But Im not sure if that error applies to mine.

I have TCP/IP set in the client network utility, and Client for Microsoft Networks selected as my primary login in my control panel.

The error I get when I hit "FINISH" to connect is

Assertion Failed!
Program C;\WINDOWS\MMC.EXE
File:../src/sqlsspi.c
Line 120

Expression Count

Then it tells me to check out the documentation for Visual C++ for info on asserts.

Not really sure what else to do here
Hope someone can help!

It's not the SQL Server. It is Microsoft Management Console (MMC) that caused the problem. You might have to re-install it. See if there is anything on Microsoft's site about MMC. [sig][/sig]
