We've upgraded from 7.0 to 2000. Before the upgrade I could use Profiler to display connections as they occur.
Now, Profiler will only capture connections that existed before the trace started.

exist in SQL Server Profiler one selection of "existing connections"

Use thisn for retrieve result of connection after of start the trace

Regards

In the Profiler Events tab, select Security Audit events "Audit Login" and possibly "Audit Logout." Make sure you are not filtering to exclude logins.

If you select the SQLProfilerStandard template, it should have the appropriate events already selected.

jplaz,

"Existing connections" is the event that provides the list of connections that exist when the trace starts. This event doesn't show new connections or logins. Terry L. Broadbent - DBA
