OK, I'm ignorant but without asking i'll stay that way for ever.
Using "sp_send_dbmail" i'm required to provide value to: "@profile_name" argument. The trouble is i have no idea what it means..
How do i get to know what is my "profile_name" ?
Thanks.

When you configure database mail you have to setup a profile. The name you assign here would be the name that you provide for the @profile_name parm. If you run the sysmail_help_profile_sp procedure it will give you a list of the available profiles.

I find this one pretty interesting for some possible uses, that I never thought about using SQL for.

So is the @profile sort of like a template email message?

The profile_name is the settings like the SMTP server, reply address, etc.
