Do I have to have domain setup in order to have the client(report serverice running to connect to the sql 2005 report server database in the backend? Is there way I can set it up if the user is in the workgrop, will it work?

Is there a way to review the report via Visual Studio by connecting to the Report db instead of using the IE?

Many thanks

I highly recommend you look into some sort of training on SQL Server Reporting Services and general SQL Server Development in BI.

This thread has been fun and all but honestly and from a professional side of things you have no business working on a production run instance of SSRS or SS at all with the limited knowledge you've provided.

I mean if you can't see the "Preview Report" in VS.NET come on. Tell your company you need the budget for training before you go further or it will be a disaster in the making. There is nothing that looks worse for all of us in the IT community is for something horridly unstable and just badly done to be put out to reflect on all of us to the user community.

I hope you take this advice for your own good
