Hi all

Just starting to look into SQL replication for the first time. I have configured a publication and distributor (same box) and configured a remote subscriber for merge replication. The snapshot was initialized correctly and the necessary tables are replicated on my remote server. However, i want to perform a synchronization of data on demand by going into local publications --> pub_in_question, right-clicking it and 'View Synchronization Monitor'. I try to click the Start button to start synching but the message just says 'The server 'xxx' is not a subscriber.' (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)

Tried to search for this on google but NUTHIN came up!! Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks,
Div

Hi, I have the same problem here.

The merge actions seem to work, but this message makes me wonder if everything is configured correct.

Anyone ???

What version of SQL are you using?

I'm using sql2005.
I'm ignoring the error right now, because the replication does work fine.

Have you updated to Service Pack 1 and the post SP 1 hotfix?
