Spybot problem

I am getting a problem with spybotS&D V1.4
"Cannot check hosts file it is being used by another proccess", occurs at certain points in the scan removing the partuular malware product just make it throw the error at a different point. This seems simular to a problem I had with Spybot V1.3.
Hosts file is empty except for local host 127.0.0.1 and can be opened in notepad.
Ewido, MSAB, and AdAwareSE all report No problems.

I would think since you have some other agents working like Ewido, MSAB, Adaware, etc...one of those programs might be locking the hosts file when your Spybot tries to access it.

Try turning off the agents briefly to test this possiblity.

That was my thought, but worth a check.
In fact this happend last night, Same day that Ewido decided to drop out of full product evaluation mode.
