SpyBot error msg

I ran SpyBot and rec'd this msg: datei"c:\windows\hosts "kann nicht erstellt werden.access is denied

I looked it up and this is GERMAN for "file "c:\windows\hosts "cannot be provided" access is denied.

What does this mean and where is this coming from? I assumed something was running in the background or in use... anyone help?

The hosts file is used to find an IP-number when the computer name is known. If you use a name server to resolve addresses (recommended), the hosts file is not needed.
If you have a hosts file, try to rename it if you are connected to a name server.

I received the same error message. In looking at my log files....found out my virus scanner and zone alarm kept the program from running. I shut these two down and the program ran fine.

Just a quick note: You might want to select English as the language for your SpyBot installation to avoid looking up future messages.
See the second item from left in the menu bar. English is the 5th one down. German is the default language.
