Hi

I have a 2003 web server running multiple domains.

One domain is sending around 500 emails an hour ro non existant adresses and they are being returned as non existant to the root address.

I suspect it is some form of infection, the server shows no virus infection is there a program to test for spyware etc or is there an easy way to stop this?

thanks
Ian

Do you know what the emails contain? Is it spam?

Hi

it appears as if an email is being sent which is no a non existant domain

ie aobar@nano.com
anmd fdga@nano.com

but they are shown as being sent from the domain

thanks

Ian

Hi

If the client machine is turned off this "spam" is still created.

So it's either being generated by the server or an outside agent.

Ihave run both the checks you suggested and no virus or spyware is found

cheers

Ian
