Hi there,

Just wondering on SPS2003 server, any SPS related folders/files
should be excluded from routine/real-time virus scanning?

Many thanks!

zacca,

I have two forms of protections in my environment. The first is for the box (Norton AntiVirus). The second is for the portal (McAfee Portal Shield for SharePoint). I have Norton set for everything and McAfee scanning files in and out to SQL. I sure that I could exclude something in Norton but I don't see any major problems in the event logs or system performance. The configuration is front-end web and backed SQL. I will look at this more and let you know if I find any areas of change. Hope this helps.
