I'm a SharePoint novice walking thru SPS 2007 and could benefit greatly from any documentation that would address some very basic questions...i.e., when I create a Web Part Page, select a template and add 3 "Shared Document" Web Parts to different zones---why are they simply instances of each other? I titled them separately via the "Modify Shared Web Part"/"Appearance" edit route, but any documents I add to one is included in all three.
Quite clearly I'm missing a huge logical step here.
