I have ClarisWorks 4.0 (yes it is an old version) which I have used for years. It has always worked fine until just the past couple of weeks. My spreadsheets cells which are formatted with the currency numbers are not functioning. Even though the cells say they are still formatted for currency, the cells do not put in a decimal point nor can I input a decimal, and when I input a number, instead of shifting to the right as currency should, it shifts to the left. I have opened up some of my spreadsheets which have not been used recently and now they are showing the same thing. Up in the entry bar, it shows a small square where a decimal should be. It is almost as if I have a wrong font, yet I have changed nothing. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Daft suggestions: 1) Check your font in other programs; 2) Check you're on the correct keyboard setting - it's easy sometimes to get onto US instead of UK; 3) Change your font - see if it does the same in a different one; 4) Sounds like it's treating it as text - retype some numbers using the top row numbers, and some using the numberpad. Probably none of these will do anything. If they don't, and also don't trigger any useful thoughts, there is always suggestion 5) SCREAM!!!
