The print spooler on our W2K server seems to run away in ram usage when viewed in task manager. If I don't restart the service manually and regularly it goes up constantly. I have a scheduled task that does that once a day but maybe someone can shed some light if it's actually something that needs to be done constantly..Many thanks.. You don't need eyes to see just a vision.

Do you run a Novell Client or network?

For some weird reason I had this happen on workstation that had the Novell client running to connect to the Novell server.
They switched over to plain W2K network and the problem was gone after we uninstalled the Novell Client.
I never really found an answer though.

i have this same problem, after glueing my eyes to each and every print job for about 4 days it appears that it is isolated to certain printers aka HP versus other printers aka OKIdata. i too restart at least once a day. It chews up about 50+ megs of ram in under 3 hours....our hp's are 960c and according to hp they dont have a driver for windows2k terminal services....i didnt mention we had terminal services running also...i'm very interested in finding the solution to this....
