Hi i am running win Me, and each time i turn on my PC i get an error message saying spool32.exe has not loaded properly and has caused a general error, please restart computer etc, etc.....

does anybody have any ideas as to what might cause this error? i know that spool32 has something to do with printing, but not sure as to what or y?! any help would b greatly appreciated

You could try extracting spool32.exe fromt he cabs folder on the hard drive.
See if you can get into safemode,
Once there, got to start>run and in open type msconfig

In the bottom right corner there is a button called system file checker, click on it to activate it.
Select extract 1 file from installation disk.
ON the next srceen, file to extract- spool32.exe
the "extract from" location, choose c:\windows\options\cabs
the "extract to" should self populate, if it does not, choose c:\windows\system32
click on the extract button.
If asked to create a backup, click on "skip"

After extraction, you will be prompted to reboot the system.

Hopefully this will fix the problem in normal mode.
