Spoof the Mitel UAS into thinking there is a Message waiting

Does anyone know the sequence of SIP events that I need to employ to fool the Mitel UAS into thinking that a particular extension has a message waiting? I am not using the Mitel IVR but rather my own VXML product.

I have been able to register my SIP client, which is actually a web service called by the VXML, on the 3300 UAS. I am also able to SUBSCRIBE to the NOTIFY events from my client but I do not know how to tell the UAS to light the darn light. Any ideas?

Thanks for the suggestion. I am not certain that I under stand your definition of "feature code" however if you are referring to sending DTMF #99 (or whatever) then the answer is "yes" I have tried that. The problem seems to be the SIP interface which really does not like in-band DTMF. I have everything working down to the final NOTIFY.

My UAC (Client) sends a REGISTER and receives a "200-OK".
I then send a SUBSCRIBE and receive another 200-OK along with the parameter "messages-waiting: no". It must be checking some internal voice mail server. I need to fool it into thinking that there are messages waiting because there are but in my IVR. Any thoughts on this?

I'm just processing out loud here but....
I wonder if it would work if you set up a DISA Code (I know "security alert") then have the IVR dial the DISA code 1st, then use the inband signaling to light the light.

I have tried the following however I still do like your idea:
I tried sending the tones via SIP (failed).
I tried sending the actual tones as WAV files (failed)

Noe I cannot swear that the feature codes were set correctly so I will try again and let you know. Thanks for helping.
