Splitting up AS400 DASD into 2 ASPs... pitfalls?

Hi,

What are the pitfalls of creating separate ASPs on our AS/400??

I remember that pre V5R0 this was tricky and programs could not access data on from one asp to another, etc.

Is this still the case?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I don't believe there EVER was a case where a program couldn't read data from another ASP, (if there was, it would have had to be before V3). Anyhow...
I guess the question would be, what are you trying to accomplish by creating seperate ASPs in the first place?
