Hi,
We have a Splicecom system which we are trying to connect to a partner running an avaya system. Everything appears to be configured as they are able to phone us but when we contact them, the phone destination is unreachable. Also if i look at the trunk config its ticked 'out of service' but there's no means of enabling it via the interface. Any Ideas?????

Thanka

Is the ticked out of service on the splicecom, if so then you need to find a splicecom forum

Yep - its the splicecom showing out of service, unfortunately there doesnt appear to be any forums

That's unfortunate, but that doesn't mean we would know how to do it. Try on Spiceworks, there will be some Splicecom bods on there no doubt (it has nothing to do with splicecom despite the similarity in name) :)

>Also if i look at the trunk config its ticked 'out of service'

This is probably a status rather than a way of controlling the trunk service-state

I'd go back to basic troubleshooting such as Monitor, Wireshark, config review etc before assuming that all you need to do is untick the box

Take Care

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.
