Has anyone had any success in getting REXX edit macros to work on SPFSE? I have SPF PRO 5.03, but SE changed to use C instead of REXX. MARK MACDONALD posted about a year ago that he had gotten REXX working, so I'm hoping someone can help me out.
Thanks,
Peter V.

This is the reply i recieved from Command Technologies Support when i recently asked about running REXX with SPFwhatever (there was another topic where someone mentioned they had run REXX with SPFsomthing).

SPF/SE 7.0 uses the "C" language for Edit Macros and Dialog Procs.

We do not support REX in any product.

To see how SPF/SE handles this functionality, download the free demo from our web site.

Then invoke HELP, item CONTENTS, review chapters:

Dialog Manager
Dialog Definition Language
C Interpreter
C Library Functions
SPFservice Function

Review sample macros:

For Standard Edition:

c:\Program Files\Spfse\V70\Standard\Macros

For Graphic Edition:

c:\Program Files\Spfse\V70\Graphic\Macros

Review dialogs:

For Standard Edition:

c:\Program Files\Spfse\V70\Standard\Dialogs

For Graphic Edition:

c:\Program Files\Spfse\V70\Graphic\Dialogs

Review 3270 menus (Standard Edition only):

c:\Program Files\Spfse\V70\Standard\Menus

papadba,
FYI, the reply from CTC is incorrect. I was an original beta-tester for their original SPF/PC product in the late 80's. SPF/PC does, in fact support REXX edit macros as it's only macro language. SPF PRO 5.03 is the last version of CTC's product that uses REXX as their macro language. SPF/SE is the first version that used C for their macro language. I was fortunate enough to be able to get SPF PRO installed on XP3, so I do have REXX support.

x, thanks for the link to sedit.
