We recently set up a Windows 2003 server to replace our small businesses peer to peer network. We noticed a considerable slow down when we did this. All workstations are running XP Pro and the server Server 2003.

Using a network bandwidth tool we are getting 50-70 mbps from the workstations to the server but only 5-6 mbps from the server to the workstations.

Any ideas where to begin troubleshooting this?

Thx..

use netmon to capture the traffic, to see what's going on there.

Actually we tied a new hub and it seems to be working better. Very odd.
