Hi

My 2626 has developed a strange problem. I am connecting via console cable and hyper-terminal (9600-8-n-1) on autodetect emulation. When the switch boots I see the data about build date etc... when it gets past the initialization phase it comes up with the following message "waiting for speed sense, hit enter twice to continue"), I can`t get past this screen, I have tried (many times) a factory reset and messed with the various options in hyper terminal, ansi, autodetect, local echo etc... but just can`t get into the switch..

Any help greatly appreciated... As at the moment the switch is little more use than a very expensive door stop...

Hello P-Bro,

I suggest trying:

1. Setting hyperterm to auto-sense the speed, rather than
nailing it to 9600 baud.

2. A different terminal emulator, such as Procomm.

Regards,
Ralph
