I have imported a large directory into an IP office 406 which is great for display handsets but no so good for non-display phones. As the non-display phones also need access to the speed dials i have created the following short codes:

*SD100
xxxxx
Dial

This works fine so here comes the question.

Is there a quick way to do this as i have about 1000 entries?

Can you read the export in another software program as raw data so it can be cut/paste etc?

You can easily import and export the dirctory to a standard csv file. Then use something like excel to make the amendments.

I normally recommend 200-300 numbers for the directory, any more will make the config size a tag too large. With so many entries, it would be easier to setup TAPI to function with Outlook. Assuming they are using Outlook and Exchange.

Although the directory can be imported & exported there is no "easy" way to import or export the shortcodes you require

I would sugest it is about time Avaya added a speed dial number field to the directory entry this may already have been logged as a feature request ;-) )
