Spectralink Start button will cancel call

If I call the spectralink (device) from my desk phone (9650), the device will ring. When I press the Start button, the call is canceled. I can call my 9650 from the device and I can pick it up using the start button. I can call one device to another device and pick up the call using start button. I have tried usign 9630SIP and 9620SIP as the set type for this device. Is there somewhere I need to adress this on the avaya side or does this sound like a Spectralink thing?

Have you looked at any DevConnect interoperability notes to cross-check your configuration?

It turned out to be a codec issue on the Spectralink phone. I needed to delete all but the 711 codecs leaving only G.711Mu and G.711A
