Spectralink PTX150 on avaya system

I bought 5 spectralink PTX150 phones. Since they are the same as the Avaya 3626 I assumed they would work. Since avaya uses a different communications protocal (licence opt 9 on the phones) the spectralink versions won't work. Anyone have any idea how I could work around this. They will not flash to a new firmware because it checks the licence code with the SVP server before loading the new code. I'm at a loss for anything else to try.
