Thanks in advance if anyone can help on this. I have a request to somehow print special shipping instructions on the BOL based on the ship to code that is used for that order. So, if a customer has 50 ship to addresses, each code may have different shipping instructions - such as call before shipping, call for appointment, or ship via specific carrier only, etc. They want this to print on the BOL automatically. The only way I can think of doing this is to set up a UDL in the ship-to-code maintenance screen and enter the instructions there. Does anyone have another suggestion? The idea is to make it automated so there is no reliance on the customer service person to enter the instructions on the sales order.

Go into Customer Maintenance and enter a memo where the memo code equals the ship to code. Then on the BOL link in the memo table joining on the Customer Number and Memo code to the Customer Number and Ship To Code.

Thanks for the quick response but i am confused - what if we have different instructions for each ship code (for the same customer)
I know it sounds crazy but we have customers who order from us and want us to drop ship to their customers who have specific shipping instructions so we need to be able to have multiple fields for the memo.

*sigh* OK let me start over. In Customer Maintenance you can create NUMEROUS memos. Each memo will have a unique memo code. Make the memo code equal to the Ship To Code so that each Ship To location has it's own memo.

If you still have problems call your reseller. They can show you what I mean.

Thanks again. I am sorry - i didn't understand what you meant the first time. I see what you mean. Thanks for the great suggestion.

Note that the two have to be the same. If it is ship to code 19 then the memo code has to be 19, not 0019 or 019 but 19
