special characters

In my visual fox 5.0, i try to use special characters in my tables but they are not showed correctly, i mean in a editing program like Oppenoffice or Word, thy are showed but in visual
fox the same ascii code is another character. I mention that i use the right fonts in visual fox. I wanna use romanian characters so i choose ce (central european fonts).

Sound like a codepage problem.

Romanian is codepage 1250

A couple functions you may find useful in checking your tables and converting the information:

CPDBF( ) && returns current codepage for the table

CPCONVERT( ) && allows you to convert existing data to a different codepage
