You cannot remove the Speak@Ease display from the Phonebook application - it is hard coded. It is if your company is using a Speak@Ease, a 6510 or a NuPoint with SAA. You can simply press Speak@Ease and the Mitel system will prompt you to say the name of the person you wish to speak with.
I'm pretty sure if you change the COS option for Speak@ease to no for the phone, that "PHONEBOOK" will show up on the display in that spot. I distinctly remember doing that to my personal phone/COS a few months ago.
I already have that COS option set to no , and it is still displayed so the Mitel Guy wins the arguement there.
what is involved with speak@ease ?
Seperate server or mas device , I suppose it is a licensed feature as well ?
I should also mention the Speak@Ease option is nothing more then a speed dial in the system programming - you could program it to go to anyone or anything.
